If you have questions about finances, you can contact the treasurer via the Contact Form.

Owing to the size of the charts below, this page is best viewed on a tablet or computer. If you would like to view the charts and spreadsheets in a larger format, hover your mouse over the chart of interest. A box with an outward pointing arrow will then appear in the top right of the sheet or chart. Click this icon and the chart or sheet will open in a new window or tab.

In accordance with The AA Structure Handbook for Great Britain, p. 79 (The Group, section 2), it is requested that groups send their surplus funds to Intergroup. Intergroup will then use this money to fund its work before passing any surplus on to Region. It is, however, up to the conscience of each group to decide where to send their surplus funds.

These documents are made available in accordance with Conference Recommendations from 2006, Committee 2, Question 1.

Prudent Reserve

In accordance with Tradition 7 (long form), Warranty 2 and p. 90 (The Intergroup, section 4) of the AA Structure Handbook for Great Britain, the Intergroup maintains a prudent reserve of three months running costs. This is calculated by maintaining a reserve equal to three months of budget for each active service discipline and anticipated running costs plus the reserve for the annual convention.

Items with a zero budget are positions that are currently vacant or positions/items that do not currently require a budget. You can see how this is currently calculated below. The total is displayed at the bottom.

Current Balance

Below you can see how our available funds are calculated. It is the resolution of Intergroup that in accordance with p. 88 of The AA Structure Handbook for Great Britain, all surplus funds are passed to GSO via the Region Treasurer. This is reviewed on a quarterly basis at Intergroup meetings.

The financial year for the Intergroup runs with the calendar year. So the figures below are separated by year for 2022, 2023 and 2024. Figures for 2021 are available upon request.
